Tub 2 pub to support Macmillan Cancer Support and help protect the environment – what we did.

With Christmas a memory and “dry January” behind us, it was time for us to clear out all those empty chocolate tubs and at Charterhouse that meant taking the opportunity to support MacMillan Cancer Support as well.

Green King pubs have once again been running their “Tub 2 Pub” campaign to collect all those empty chocolate tubs that have become a part of the festive season for most of us. Over the last two years rather than throw them away they have collected over 50,000 tubs and raised £11,308 for MacMillan.  

This year Charterhouse took the opportunity to join in. Not only are we helping protect the environment, but it is also helping an amazing charity and the support they provide to many people who are affected by cancer. Last Wednesday we took our tubs to The Royal Oak in Harrow, and a few off us took the opportunity to enjoy their hospitality at the same time. It was a great evening and all for a good cause and we were really pleased to find out that we were the pubs largest donor of tubs.
