St Luke’s Corporate event and the Firewalk Challenge, Raj did it and incredibly has reached his fundraising target.

St Lukes firewalking

A few weeks ago we published an article that began with “13, lucky for some, not for others”. For St Luke’s Hospice Harrow this was definitely the case, especially when our Joint Managing Director, Raj Jiwani got involved.

He agreed to take part in a firewalking event and set himself not just the target of completing the Firewalk itself, but also to raise £2,000 in just two weeks for the charity.

We can now report that he achieved both of his targets and the charity are the ones that are benefiting. You can watch his walk here.

Thank you to all those who supported him and ultimately the charity. St Luke’s Hospice cares for people approaching the end of their life in Harrow and Brent. They aim to give the people they care for the best possible quality of life, each and every day. Supporting local people and their families is at the heart of what they do – focusing on what matters the most to them is at the centre of their care.

It is only through the generosity and hard work of the volunteers and those who are prepared to put themselves out to help raise funds that the charity can continue to provide their essential support.

As a business we will continue to support St Lukes as our Charity of the Year and there are many other fundraising and challenging events coming up over the next twelve months so watch this space.
